Why we should use earthen pots (Diya etc) during Deewali ?

 Earthen pots are made from earth, using earthen pot in pooja, shows our dedication for mother earth, which gives us positive vibrations.

 We light Diya , which contains oil (Shani) or Ghee ( Venus) with Fire (Mars), remember Mars and Saturn have enmity with each other , so here we are mixing the both like lighting oil with fire, so we involve Mercury here (Earthly planet) in form of earthen pots, which is comfortable with almost every planets . we know that Fire can be controlled in earthen pot easily. So this is a type of remedy too to get positive vibrations from planets.
